Overview

IDEC light curtains can keep production areas running safely and efficiently while minimizing downtime. Each IDEC light curtain offers a rich set of advanced features to protect operators and machinery, based on their classification:

  • Type 4 provides finger, hand and body detection where there’s a moderate or high risk of injury for operators.
  • Type 2, available for hand and body detection only, is appropriate for lower-risk applications in which an accident will result in slight injury to the operator.

IDEC light curtains are available in a variety of styles and cover a wide range of control heights and operating distances. The compact units offer fast response times, ingress protection and external device monitoring (EDM) features. Select models come with built-in EDM to help reduce control panel size and cost. Available accessories include cables, controllers and mounting brackets.
