It is certified as UL type4X (Outdoor) and can be used outdoors. However, it is recommended to check this beforehand, as performance may be degraded depending on the customer's operating environment.
Outdoor use is not covered by the product warranty.
The front of the panel of this product is made of weather-resistant material. However, excessive exposure to ultraviolet rays in direct sunlight, etc., may cause resin deterioration such as strength degradation and color fading.
The protective structure of this product has IP65/67 and UL type4X performance. For more information on grades of protective structureClick herefor details.
Although the product's protective structure is IP67, water droplets or dirt on the lens surface may cause malfunctions or changes in detection performance, so please wipe off any dirt or water droplets with a soft cloth before use.
The output of this product is a non-contact output (photo MOS relay).
The output of this product is a non-contact output (photo MOS relay).
This product employs a diffuse reflection method using infrared light as the light source for detection.
We have confirmed that it does not malfunction up to 40,000Lx against sunlight. Since strong sunlight may affect the detection performance, please take measures to avoid direct sunlight.
This product is equipped with an interference prevention function (*1), making it less susceptible to adjacent touchless switch detection light.
However, depending on the size of the sensing element and installation conditions, adjacent touchless switches may detect it at the same time. Please refer to the installation examples and operating area diagrams in the catalog for installation conditions. The minimum mounting pitch is 30 mm (width) and 50 mm (height).
(*1) The interference prevention function is only available for two adjacent touchless switches.
This product is equipped with an interference prevention function to prevent it from being affected by infrared rays emitted from other devices. However, please be careful about the installation location, as infrared irradiation from multiple light sources may cause malfunctions.
The maximum detection distance can be adjusted from approximately 70 to 270 mm (reference value) when the detected object is a human hand.
Black gloves can also be detected, but the detection distance tends to be shorter than that of human hands. The detection distance varies depending on the color, material, and surface condition of the detected object. See catalog for the detection distance range of each target.
