General industrial machinery

Choosing to use it only for machines that need it

For control operation terminals of equipment and machines

Increasing demands from manufacturing sites

As various needs increase within the manufacturing site, there is a need to increase the functionality of equipment while at the same time reducing costs.

Facing such a difficult problem that you can't afford to increase the functionality but not the cost?  In addition, with the speed of life cycles nowadays, the speed of development must also be improved.

Choosing to use the "Tablet + Safety Commander™" only for the machine you need, when you need it

Is there any equipment that has a touch panel as standard equipment, but uses it only for startup and maintenance?

In such cases, the touch panel on equipment that is used infrequently can be reduced and replaced with a commercially available tablet + safety commander to reduce equipment costs. This would give the user the option of providing a tablet, and the manufacturer would provide only the software and safety commander. Furthermore, the ability to handle only software replacement will help reduce development costs, since there will be no need to change facilities due to discontinuation, as was the case in the past.

In addition, when used with large equipment, a portable terminal such as the Safety Commander is an attractive proposition because it allows operation and work to be performed close to the machine, improving work efficiency and reducing the number of operators.

The use of tablets makes it possible to add new functions that were not possible with touch panels.

Even in cases where in-house standards require the use of pushbutton switches to start and stop the machine, the machine can be operated in the same way and with the same operational feel as before.

Stable communication via wired LAN

Set manufacturers selling semiconductor manufacturing equipment, packaging machinery, and other products sell their products to unspecified users, so the environments in which they are used vary. Another possible issue is that internal company regulations do not allow the use of Wi-Fi wireless communication for tablets.

The HT4P model is equipped with a USB/LAN converter, which enables communication with the device via wired LAN, making it possible to use the device in environments where wireless LAN is not available.
