これまでの機械式駐車場は、車両を呼び出す際にパスワードの入力によって車両を特定していました。
またゲート式の駐車場では、ゲート開閉に専用のリモコンを使用して、ゲート内へ入る車両を管理していました。
パスワードの代わりにICカードを用いれば、煩わしい番号を覚える必要がなくなります。
また、ゲートのリモコン電池が切れた場合のために、リモコンにICタグを内蔵しておくことで別の認証システムを代用することができます。これにより専門業者が来るまで待機しておく必要がなく、電池切れによるリスクを回避します。
