New HG1G HMIs use the worldwide-standard 4.3” LCD screen size, first popularized by gamers, to deliver a technologically-advanced display with high reliability and performance at an amazing price. This super-bright, compact 4.3” TFT LCD has a high resolution of 480 x 272 pixels and displays 65K colors with a brightness of 800cd/m2.
With features and functionalities typical of a large screen, including remote monitoring and control function and FTP function, HG1G supports multiple communications – up to four protocols simultaneously and has a best-in-class LED backlight of 70,000 hours. Able to be mounted portrait or landscape to fit your needs, it also supports a wide range of operating temperatures from -20 to 55 ºC, and is rated IP66F/IP67F, Type 4X and Type 13. HG1G units are suitable for installation in Class 1, Div 2 hazardous locations and have UL 508 approval. Most of the features of a large screen, but small enough to fit in a tight space and priced to fit a tight budget!

Designed to meet all your communication requirements, the compact 4.3” HG1G series supports numerous protocols—up to four PLC protocols simultaneously. Using one HMI to communicate with different brands (or manufacturers) of PLCs in a system saves time and money. The HG1G acts as a communication gateway between multiple devices allowing data to easily pass between devices. IDEC supports over 100 Serial and Networking drivers, including Modbus RTU Master/Slave and Modbus TCP/IP.
Web Server Function: With this function, you can remotely control and monitor your IDEC HG1G at anytime, anywhere using a PC, PDA or smartphone. No additional software tools or modules are needed to use the Remote Monitor and Control function.
Support for industry-standard FTP communications allows users to transfer project, Data Log, picture, sound and movie files between the HG1G HMI and a PC without having to load the IDEC HMI programming software on the PC. If an IDEC PLC is being used with the HMI, this feature can also be used to download an updated PLC program from a PC to the PLC through the HMI. This greatly simplifies HMI and PLC program updates as it’s no longer necessary to have the IDEC programming software installed on multiple PCs throughout a facility or a company.
WindOI NV4 version 1.4.0 or later has a new Web Page Editor, making it simple to create professional and dynamic web pages to monitor and control an IDEC touchscreen, with no HTML programming required.
Dynamic PLC and HMI values can be incorporated into email to show status conditions. Files, such as Alarm Log, Data Log, Operation Log and Screenshot, can be attached in the email. Up to 255 email templates can be configured to multiple recipients.
The HG1G 4.3” screen comes with new approval ratings, including the addition of UL 508, IP66F/IP67F ratings, and Type 4X and Type 13 approvals (on the front panel) to allow for installation outdoors or indoors in wash-down areas. This makes the HG1G unit suitable for installation in Class 1, Division 2 hazardous locations and for applications in harsher environmental conditions.
WindO/I-NV4 software WindO/I-NV4 software is the simplest programming tool for all IDEC OI Touchscreens Series from 4.3” to 12.1” except the HG1F 4.6”. The WindOI-NV4 software has the same look and feel as the WindOI NV2 with all the great features, such as support of multiple protocols, FTP and Email functions. It is used to create projects that can display information from a PLC, process status, or can be used to input data with virtual switches or keypads to make changes to a process. The objects are extremely easy to configure with the help of step-by-step navigation. It lets you quickly create colorful graphical screens in no time using drop-down menus and intuitive drag and drop functionality for the objects. A workspace is available to help you organize and manage projects, objects and screens.
