5.7" HG2G-5T Series

Intelligently Designed

The NEW HG2G-5T HMI is a significant upgrade from the previous 5.7-inch model. The color version has a resolution of 65,536 colors via its TFT LCD screen and a brightness of 500 cd/m2. The monochrome model has a resolution of 16 shades and a brightness of 1100 cd/m2. This level of resolution produces an improved viewing experience, while the increased brightness allows screens to be easily seen even in direct sunlight. Viewing can be configured for either portrait or landscape.

Multiple Protocols

The 5.7” HG2G HMI supports numerous protocols—up to four PLC protocols simultaneously. Using one HMI to communicate with different brands (or manufacturers) of PLCs in a system saves time and money. The HMI acts as a communication gateway between multiple devices allowing data to easily pass between devices.




Remote Access Monitoring and Control

Using any device with a web browser, you can remotely monitor or control the HMI, just as if you were standing right in front of it on the factory floor. Troubleshoot and maintain your systems from anywhere – without the time and expense of travel!

Email Function

Dynamic PLC and HMI values can be incorporated into email to show status conditions. Files, such as Alarm Log, Data Log, Operation Log and Screenshot, can be attached in the email. Up to 255 email templates can be configured to multiple recipients.

No HTML Programming Required

WindOI NV4 version 1.4.0 or later has a new Web Page Editor, making it simple to create professional and dynamic web pages to monitor and control an IDEC touchscreen, with no HTML programming required.


FTP Communication

Support for industry-standard FTP communications allows users to transfer project, Data Log, picture, sound and movie files between the HMI and a PC without having to load the IDEC HMI programming software on the PC. If an IDEC PLC is being used with the HMI, this feature can also be used to download an updated PLC program from a PC to the PLC through the HMI. This greatly simplifies HMI and PLC program updates as it’s no longer necessary to have the IDEC programming software installed on multiple PCs throughout a facility or a company.




Environmental

HG2G-5T has an upgraded 5.7” screen built with excellent environmental tolerance and a wide range of operating temperatures from -20 degrees C to +60 degrees C. These new HMIs also come with new approval ratings. With the addition of UL, Type 4X and Type 13 approvals (on the front panel), HG2G-5T models now provide customers with a degree of protection including Type 4X, Type 13, UL 508 and Class I Div 2 hazardous location. This makes HG2G HMIs suitable for applications in harsher environmental conditions, especially where protection against corrosion is required. For example:

WindO/I-NV4 software

WindO/I-NV4 software WindO/I-NV4 software is the simplest programming tool for all IDEC OI Touchscreens Series from 4.3” to 12.1” except the HG1F 4.6”. The WindOI-NV4 software has the same look and feel as the WindOI NV2 with all the great features, such as support of multiple protocols, FTP and Email functions. It is used to create projects that can display information from a PLC, process status, or can be used to input data with virtual switches or keypads to make changes to a process. The objects are extremely easy to configure with the help of step-by-step navigation. It lets you quickly create colorful graphical screens in no time using drop-down menus and intuitive drag and drop functionality for the objects. A workspace is available to help you organize and manage projects, objects and screens.
