delivering industry-leading brightness levels.

PCAP displays have a higher tolerance for dirt deposits, and for contact with cleaning or washdown chemicals, and are easily kept clean with a simple wipe down.

PCAP touchscreens provide multi-touch capabilities, and no force is required to operate them, just a light touch.

Compact Form Factor

Advanced touchscreen technology allows the bezel to be slimmer, enabling a small installation footprint and overall HMI depth of just 30mm, substantially less than the depth required by competing products.

 


Multiple Protocols – Support of four different PLC protocols simultaneously

  • Support multiple protocols—connects up to four PLC protocols simultaneously. Using one HMI to communicate with different brands (or manufacturers) of PLCs in a system saves time and money. The touchscreen acts as a communication gateway between multiple devices allowing data to easily pass between devices.
  • IDEC supports over 100 Serial and Networking drivers, including BACnet IP, Modbus RTU Master/Slave and Modbus TCP/IP Client and Server.

  • FTP communication allows users to configure the HMI screen as a FTP Client or Server for transfer of programs and logged data between a Client and Server, providing a convenient and effective way to remotely communicate with the HMI.
  • Up to 16 Servers can be managed simultaneously, and access folders can also be managed.
  • This greatly simplifies a User program updates as it’s no longer necessary to have the IDEC programming software installed on multiple PCs throughout a facility or a company.

 

 


 


 

 


 

Web Server Function

With this function, you can remotely control and monitor your IDEC HG2J at anytime, anywhere using a PC, PDA or smartphone. No additional software tools or modules are needed to use the Remote Monitor and Control function.

Email Function

Dynamic PLC and HMI values can be incorporated into email to show status conditions. Files, such as Alarm Log, Data Log, Operation Log and Screenshot, can be attached in the email. Up to 255 email templates can be configured to multiple recipients.

WindEdit Lite App

Available for FREE in the App Store or Google Play, this app provides quick and convenient remote monitoring and control from smartphones and tablets. Users can upload and download HMI Programs, monitor HMI device addresses, access logged data and manage files in SD/USB memory cards.

 


 

Web Page Editor

 


 

No HTML Programming Required

WindOI NV4 version 1.4.0 or later has a new Web Page Editor, making it simple to create professional and dynamic web pages to monitor and control an IDEC touchscreen, with no HTML programming required.

 


 

Communication of Choice

Modbus TCP/IP and RTU

These two leading industrial communication protocols are supported in the Ethernet and Serial ports. HMI can be configured as a Client (master) or Server (slave). Setup is quick and communication to other devices is seamless.

1:N PLC Communication

Connect a single OI Touchscreen to multiple PLCs for centralized control. One touchscreen can monitor and control each system with PLCs in several different locations.

O/I Link Communications

Create an OI Touchscreen network where multiple HMIs in different locations connect to the same PLC for convenient monitoring and control. One OI Touchscreen can serve as a master, while up to 15 additional touchscreens can be slaves in the O/I Link, with a total maximum distance of 200 meters.

 


 


Environmental

A wide operating temperature range has now been extended to cover -20 to +60 ̊C. This combined with IP66F/67F, UL Type 4X, 12 and 13 approval ratings assures reliable operation in the toughest environments. In addition, this HMI is suitable for installation in Class I Division 2 hazardous locations. It is built for endurance and backed by an industry leading three-year warranty.

WindO/I-NV4 software

All HMIs in the product line are configured using the same simple, intuitive WindO/I-NV4 screen creation software, so users only need to be familiar with one inexpensive software package. The drag-and-drop user interface and built-in symbol library with over 10,700 images helps users rapidly create cutting-edge graphics. Another advantage is projects can automatically be converted from one HMI size to another within seconds using the same software.
